Local archaeologist to speak at university meeting in Offaly

The meeting will take place in the Bridge House Hotel in Tullamore

The January meeting of Offaly University of Third Age (U3A) will be held in Bridge House Hotel, on Wednesday January 14, at 7.30.

The guest speaker will be archaeologist Caimin O'Brien, who works as an archaeologist with the Archaeological Survey of Ireland, specialising in the medieval period, monastic settlements and the local history of Offaly and Tipperary.

A native of Birr, Caimin is a frequent speaker at historical and archaeological events and is known for his engaging presentations.
