ONCE again, the Senior “B” Football Championship was one of the best in Offaly. With seven teams in the championship, it was also the last to be finished with the warm favourites, Clara beating an emerging Ballinagar in the final. There was a great battle for the four semi-final spots where Clara beat Cappincur and Ballinagar got the better of Daingean with a stunning late rescue act in normal time and an extra time demolition job. Ballycumber beat Gracefield in the relegation play off and Tubber were the club in no man's land with their season ended in the group stages. The following is my senior “B” football team of the year and again, it is an entirely personal selection.
