Arrest warrant issued after wrong man appears in Tullamore District Court

The DPP has directed that three Offaly men must be tried by indictment for alleged assault.

Ciaran Mulligan (24), Ballygarret, Clonbullogue, Joseph Mulligan (35), Ballygarret, Clonbullogue and Ethan Kearon (23), Church Road, Clonbullogue, are each accused of assaulting Gavin Young, causing him harm, at Ballyfore on December 8, 2024.

The three men are also accused of violent disorder at O'Connell Square in Edenderry on the same date.

Tullamore District Court heard the DPP had directed trial by indictment and books of evidence will be served. Judge Andrew Cody remanded each of the accused on bail to appear in court again on October 1 next.
