Man suffers 'life threatening injuries' in early morning fire in Tullamore

Man suffers 'life threatening injuries' in early morning fire in Tullamore

A man is fighting for his life in hospital after a fire in the early hours of the morning in Tullamore.

Gardaí received a report of a fire at a residential property at Church Street, Tullamore at approximately 5am this morning.

Units of Tullamore Fire Service attended the fire and rescued a man in his 50s. The man is being treated for life-threatening injuries at St James’ Hospital, Dublin.

Gardai say no one else was other injured in the fire. 

A technical examination of the scene has been carried out and gardai say investigations are ongoing.
