Offaly GAA plans for major development at Faithful Fields take step forward
Offaly GAA plans for major development works at Faithful Fields have taken a big step forward.
Offaly GAA has lodged a planning application with Offaly County Council for the works at Ballybrackan, Kilcormac.
Offaly GAA is seeking the change of use of agricultural land to sports and recreational use.
It will include the development of additional training facilities for Faithful Fields and will feature a new all-weather synthetic pitch equipped with floodlighting, pitch drainage, and all associated site development.
The application says the proposed all-weather synthetic pitch is intended to provide an additional playing surface during periods when the existing grass pitches are unplayable due to weather conditions, particularly throughout the winter months. This will ensure year-round access to training and match facilities.
The application is currently in the pre-validation phase
