Imprisoned for stealing a toothbrush from store in Offaly

Kilbeggan man stole a toothbrush worth €199 from Boots in Tullamore

A KILBEGGAN man was sentenced to prison for stealing a toothbrush during last week's Tullamore District Court.

Chris Cooney (48), Fort House, Dublin Road, Kilbeggan, Westmeath was charged with stealing a Spotlight toothbrush worth €199 from Boots, Church Street, Tullamore on April 17, 2024.

Sergeant Richard Thornton told the court that Mr Cooney had 49 previous convictions.

Judge Andrew Cody convicted and sentenced to a month in prison.
