Plans for new walking track and memorial wall in Offaly put on hold
Plans for a new walking track and memorial wall in Offaly have been been given the green light.
Pullough Community Centre Committee applied for permission from Offaly County Council for the development at Dernagun, Ballycumber, Co Offaly.
The proposed development would consist of the provision of proposed new car parking area with public lighting, a new public walking track and a new memorial wall and all associated ancillary site works.
The plans had been put on hold as Offaly County Council had sought more information before making a decision.
Among other issues, Offaly County Council raised concerns over safe sight distance from the entrance, manoeuvering areas for vehicles and the width of the driveway within the car-park.
However the local authority has now granted planning permission with nine conditions attached.
The conditions relate to landscaping and lighting at the site.
