Four people hospitalised after arson attack on house in the Midlands
Four people have been hospitalised after an arson attack on a house in the Midlands in the early hours of Thursday morning.
Gardaí are investigating an incident of criminal damage by fire at a house in Mullingar, Co Westmeath, on Thursday, June 12.
Gardaí received a report of a fire at a residential property in Newtown Lawns at approximately 12:50am.
Four people were in the house at the time and were brought to Mullingar General Hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries. The scene was preserved and a technical examination was carried out.
Gardaí are appealing to anyone who may have information in relation to this incident to contact them.
Any person, including road users and pedestrians, who was in the Newtown Lawns and surrounding area of Mullingar between 12:15am and 1:15am on 12th June and who observed any unusual activity, is asked to contact investigating Gardaí.
Any road users or pedestrians who were travelling in the area during this time and who may have camera footage (including dash cam) are asked to make this available to Gardaí.
Gardaí are also appealing for information on any person with unexplained burns or who has presented for medical advice or treatment for burns since the early hours of Thursday 12th June.
