Two Offaly players named on Tailteann Cup Team of the Week
Two Offaly players have been named on the GAA's Tailteann Cup Team of the Week.
Offaly advanced to the quarter-finals of the competition with a comfortable win over New York in Tullamore last Saturday by 2-25 to 1-12.
The two Offaly players selected on the team are Lee Pearson and Dylan Hyland. Pearson was rewarded for a strong defensive display while Hyland put in an exceptional display scoring 1-12 with 1-7 coming in the first half.
Offaly are back out again this weekend in the quarter-final of the Tailteann Cup against Kildare in Newbridge on Saturday evening. It will be the third meeting of the sides this year with Offaly having won the previous two meetings including the Division 3 League Final.
