Before that however we are in for more long spells of rain and temperatures at times staying in the low teens.

On Friday night, rain will clear eastwards. Clear spells and some patches of mist or fog will develop. Lowest temperatures of 5 to 9 degrees with light south to southwest breezes.

Saturday night will be mainly dry. Rain will develop in the west overnight. Lowest temperatures of 7 to 11 degrees.
