Offaly driver Alex Dunne has made history by becoming the first ever Irish drier to record victory in F2 with a win in the Feature Race in Bahrain.
F2 is just one step off F1 and Alex Dunne, A McLaren Junior Driver, recorded his first win in his fourth ever race in the series having stepped up from F3 this year.
Starting fourth on the grid after, he made a superb start in his Roddin moving up to second before the first corner and he took the lead before his pit stop.
Coming out of the pits, he was briefly under pressure but he drove a superb race to win by over eight seconds.
