The Offaly family of a young woman have set up a GofundMe page in the hope to help with the growing costs of life extending treatment being received in Germany.

Teri Daly, 39, a young mother originally from rural Offaly now living in Co Wicklow, was diagnosed with Anaplastic Ependymoma an aggressive form of brain and spinal cancer in January 2025.

Mary Daly, Teri's sister in law said, "We were all devastated when we received the news. Teri is always busy, always on the go involved in so many great things, she's a great mother, friend and sister. She just loves life."

After undergoing two major surgeries in Beaumont Hospital the next step is Proton Treatment which she will receive in Essen Germany.

The HSE will fund the cost of this treatment. Her family have set up a GofundMe page in an attempt to help with the growing costs of travel, accommodation and living expenses whilst she is receiving treatment.

There is no cure for this aggressive form of cancer the treatment aims to extend Teri's life allowing more time with her beautiful daughter Skye.

The family wish to extend their deepest gratitude to all that have donated to date saying the are overwhelmed by the generosity of people.

The page has already received nearly €7000 out of a €10,000 goal.
