RIP: Tributes paid following sad death of 'beautiful and kind' Offaly woman

Tributes have poured in following the sad death of Margaret Doolan, Clane, Kildare and formerly Rhode, Offaly.

Margaret passed away peacefully at Naas Hospital on Monday, February 17, 2025, surrounded by her loving family.

She is predeceased by her sisters Mary (Morris), Katie (O'Brien), Liz (Grogan), Lucy (O'Toole) and Helen (Joyce) and her brother J.J.

Margaret will be deeply regretted and sadly missed by her sisters Patricia (Ennis), Ann (Flannery) and Josephine (Kelly), her brother Daniel, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Heartfelt condolences have been left on RIP.ie, from those who knew and fondly remembered Margaret, with one mourner writing,

"RIP Margaret, a lovely lovely lady. Condolences to Dan and all the Doolan family. May her gentle soul rest peacefully."

Another wrote,

"Sincere condolences to Margaret's family, she was a beautiful lady. I will always have fond memories of her. May she rest in peace."

While another wrote,

"My sincere sympathy to you, Dan, and all the Doolan family in your sorrow and loss of Margaret. I will miss her friendship, her lovely sense of humour and her words of wisdom. May her gentle soul rest in peace."

Funeral Arrangements

Margaret will repose at Larkin's Funeral Home, Edenderry today, Wednesday February 19, from 5pm to 7pm with Rosary at 7pm.

Her Funeral Mass will take place on Thursday at 1pm in St. Peter's Church, Rhode followed by burial in the adjoining cemetery. You can also take part in Margaret's Funeral Mass via the webstream link below.
