Three burglaries in one area in Offaly in one day
South Offaly was hit by four burglaries during recent weeks with three happening in one day.
Three of the burglaries took place on Thursday January 30, between 6pm and 9pm in the evening.
In Killyon the front door of a house was forced open at 6pm and a small quantity of cash was stolen.
In Riverstown, at 8pm, a rear window was forced open at a house, the rooms were extensively searched and another small quantity of cash was stolen.

Around the same time, also in Riverstown, the rear door of a house was forced open, all the rooms searched, but nothing was taken.
On Saturday February 8, in Boveen on the Birr to Roscrea Road, the criminals entered a dwelling through a rear window and stole a small quantity of cash.
A spokesperson in Birr Garda Station is asking the general public to please be vigilant if you see any cars acting suspiciously and report them to the Station.
