The special double-edition issue hit shelves on Monday
A very talented artist from Offaly has designed the cover of this year's RTÉ Christmas Guide.
Shannon Bergin from Birr designed the beautifully warm and festive cover that depicts a family outside a toy shop, an image from her first book Evie's Christmas Wishes, whish she adapted for the guide.
The annual guide which has become a much-loved tradition in Ireland is in shops now, and is packed with TV listings, interviews and festive features.
Shannon, who graduated from Limerick School of Art and Design, said working on the cover "was an absolute joy", and that it brought "so much Christmas wonder and joy".
In a post on Instagram, Shannon said,
"Well, the news is well and truly out there, I did indeed do a wee drawing for the rte guide. I am impatiently awaiting its arrival and am very excited to see it in real life. It was an absolute joy to work on and brought so much Christmas wonder and magic along as the days got shorter. Huge thanks to Catherine and all the team from RTÉ who helped in every way and were generally excellent humans."
