Eva Sullivan from Offaly has been selected to join Ireland's prestigious youth ballet company, the Irish National Youth Ballet (INYB).

As part of INYB's 30th anniversary performances, Eva will represent the county in The Nutcracker this December.

Before joining the INYB, Eva spent several years with Youth Ballet West based in Galway.

Eva has been placed in the senior division of INYB, despite this being her first year with the company. This remarkable achievement exemplifies her exceptional talent and experience.

Commenting on Eva's transition to the company, Artistic Director of INYB Lindsay Ashe-Browne said: "Eva’s background with Youth Ballet West has clearly prepared her well for the rigours of INYB. Our dancers undergo a competitive audition process, and Eva has truly earned her place among the best young dancers in Ireland."

INYB, which is funded by the Arts Council, offers young dancers the opportunity to train with internationally acclaimed teachers and perform in semi-professional productions.

This achievement offers Eva a fantastic opportunity to build a successful professional ballet career as many former INYB members have gone on to do.

Eva will take to the stage at the Samuel Beckett Theatre this December to perform in The Nutcracker, the highlight of INYB's 30th anniversary celebrations.

Performances will run from Friday 6 December to Sunday 8 December.

The Offaly community are invited to come along to the show to celebrate its local talent on the national stage.
