Offaly nurse who altWoman put off the road for careless driving in Offalyered prescriptions appears in court in Tullamore
A 23 year old woman was disqualified from holding a driving licence for 12 months following a careless driving incident, during last week's sitting of Tullamore District Court.
Aoife Anne Loran, Bog Road, Milltownpass, Westmeath was charged with careless driving, and no driving licence on August 26, 2023 in O'Connell Square, Edenderry.
Judge Andrew Cody said he remembered a previous court sitting when Ms Loran was before the court for driving with tinted windows.
He said it seemed she wasn't taking the rules of the road seriously enough.
“And now she is before the court once again, for another traffic offence, for having an accident in a square in Edenderry.”
The defending solicitor Aisling Maloney said the accident wasn't caused by speed but happened due to “inadvertence”, adding that “if she loses her driving licence she loses her job.”
The Judge convicted and fined €1,000 and disqualified as stated.
