Top five finish for Shane Lowry on PGA Tour in Florida despite up and down final round
Shane Lowry eventually finished in the top five at the Cognizant Classic in The Palm Beaches in Florida on the PGA Tour despite finding the water twice in his final round.
Shane went into the final round of the weather delayed event in a tie for the lead with the tournament eventually finishing on Monday.
He eventually shot a level par round of 71 in his final round but that doesn't even begin to the tell the story of his day.
Restarting today on the sixth and within shooting distance of the lead, he dropped another shot on the eighth to fall back off the pace.
His back nine was a real mix of scores with five birdies, two pars, a bogey and a double bogey. The bogey came on 11 where he found the water off the tee with the double coming on the par 3 15th where he again found the water off the tee.
However the Offaly golfer showed his resilience down the stretch carding birdies on 16 and 18 to get back to even par for the day to finish in a tie for fourth.
