The section of roof which blew off the Clara Town FC clubhouse
A GoFundMe fundraising campaign has been launched by Clara Town FC to pay for extensive damage caused to their clubhouse roof during Storm Isha.
The club aims to raise €10,000 in the fundraising campaign.
"Our beloved clubhouse, a central hub for games, trainings, parties, and community events, has suffered extensive damage due to the recent storm. As we rally together to rebuild and restore this vital space, we kindly seek your support," the GoFundMe page outlines.
"Your small donation, whether you're near or far, will go a long way in getting our clubhouse back up and running. It's not just a place for sports; it's a cornerstone of our community, where memories are made, friendships are forged, and celebrations happen.
"Please consider contributing to this cause, as every Euro brings us one step closer to restoring a space that means so much to all of us. Your generosity will not only help us recover but will also ensure that the clubhouse continues to serve as a vibrant centre for our community activities," the page says.
Gratitude has also been expressed for support and solidarity during the "challenging time" as they look to repair the roof at the clubhouse at Stanley O'Hara Park.
In a post on the club's Facebook page on Monday said: “We were absolutely devastated today to discover the after affects of Storm Isha. Our beloved Clubhouse has suffered extensive damage. Unfortunately until it’s deemed safe the Clubhouse is closed to the public. Absolutely gutted”.
