Offaly pub's genius game could see you unlock small fortune after pint

One Offaly pub has come up with a genius new game for customers that could land one of them a €2,500 prize.

JJ Houghs in Banagher has launched 'Off Your Box at Houghs' with owner Ger Hough adding €50 each week to a box on the bar.

Every person who buys a pint between 1pm and 5pm on Sundays will receive a ticket in a draw made just after 5pm every Sunday.

If your ticket is pulled out, you pick a key from a pint glass-shaped board containing 50 keys in total. Only one key will open the box and unlock the prize. 

If the key doesn't open the box, it is cast aside with 49 keys on the board the following week and so on. With €50 added each week the prize isn't won, the total could rack up to €2,500 if key number 50 off the board is the winner.
