Offaly school welcomes back students who achieved excellent Leaving Cert results

Banagher College proudly welcomed the students who achieved in excess of 500 points in their Leaving Cert back to the schoolfor a coffee and a chat.

The students were very excited about moving on to the next stage of their educational path.

Banagher College announced that 3% of our Leaving Cert cohort received over 600 points, 25% received over 500 points and 55% received over 400 points.

The Leaving Cert Applied students, were according to Ms Breed Hassett (LCA Co-ordinator), “an exceptionally dedicated, focused and hardworking LCA class”. She said that “the entire staff are all delighted at their success”. 

The class of 2023 will now be spreading their wings all over Ireland to Universities, Technological Universities, PLC Colleges of Further Education, Agricultural Colleges and SOLAS Apprenticeships. Ms Claire Kenny (Guidance Counsellor) said that “the most important thing now is that our students are happy with their course choices and make the most out of every opportunity presented to them”. She also added that “our doors will always be open to our past students, remember each and every one of you are part of the Banagher College family”.

Finally, the principal of Banagher College, Ms Lily Kinahan has praised the Class of 2023 and said “I want to express my wholehearted congratulations to all the students, teachers and indeed parents of this group, the results are outstanding. Students have reaped the rewards of two years of very hard work, I wish them continued success and happiness in the future.”
