Prime Offaly farm sells for huge amount at auction

ALMOST €1.8 million was secured for a prime farm in Ballycumber at a public auction recently.

GVM Auctioneers Tullamore conducted the auction of circa.163 acres at Brackagh, Ballycumber in the Bridge House Hotel, Tullamore recently

The auction was conducted both in person and online via www.lslauctions.com, culminating in the great sale for the vendors.

The crowning jewel was lot 3, the entire C.159.5 acre block at Brackagh, garnering a handsome price of €1,725,000 and sold to a south of Ireland, businessman.

Notably, lot 4, comprising C.3.75 acres at Castletown, Ballycumber sold for €63,000 to a local young farmer, marking the sale as a great success.

Auctioneer Gordon Cobbe of GVM Tullamore commented that the auction room was full on the day and that they have a number of underbidders seeking land in the locality.

Mr. Cobbe wishes to thank the vendors and all the bidders during the auction for making the auction such a success. He wishes the purchasers the very best of luck with the lots they purchased.
