Gardai in Offaly pulled over a World Champion last night
Laois Offaly Gardai were delighted to stop an Irish World Champion last night.
Gardai posed for pictures with the champ after she was stopped at a checkpoint.
"Garda Dylan Hogan and Garda Catty Burke were out conducting a proactive checkpoint last night when they stopped none other than a World Champion!" Gardai stated.
"Lucie Pardy a native of Birr, County Offaly and her family were on their way home from the 2023 Irish Dancing World Championships in Montreal Canada!," Gardai said.
The first year student of St Brendan’s Community School in Birr was returning having won the U13 World Championship in Irish Dancing in Montreal, Canada.
"A massive well done to Lucie on her outstanding achievement from Garda Hogan and Burke and all of the Gardaí in the Laois/Offaly Garda Division," Gardai added.
