Plans unveiled to extend forecourt of busy filling station in Tullamore

Plans have been unveiled to extend the forecourt of a busy filling station in Tullamore. 

Brian Dolan is applying to Offaly County Council for permission to extend the forecourt at Dolan's Shop and Filling Station on the Clara Road in the town.

According to the application lodged with the council, the works will include the enlargement of the forecourt and parking areas. This will see a corresponding reduction in the size of the adjacent residential garden of adjacent house at north boundary of the site. 

The plans include the demolition of an existing boundary wall and a small shed and the reconstruction of same at new location.

There will also be a turning space at the front of adjacent house plus associated changes to road markings, parking/deliveries layout and site equipment and services.

A decision on the plans is due on April 7.
