Major development plans have been unveiled for a pub in Offaly which include glamping pods and a caravan park.
Thomas Bennett & James Kelly of Bare Meadows Ltd, intend to apply to Offaly County Council for Planning Permission for the transformative works at the pub formerly known as the Lough Boora Inn adjacent to Lough Boora Park.
Included in the plans is the conversion of the existing residential property located to the rear of the existing pub to a Gastro Pub
The plans also include alterations to the existing front elevation to include a proposed new main entrance front door with flat roofed area and windows to replace existing doors.
The plans would also see the construction of a new flat roofed outdoor dining area to the side and rear of the existing building.
It is also proposed to construct 35 car parking spaces to include four EV charging spaces and four disabled access parking spaces.
There will also be a reception building to include first floor work hub for occupants of the proposed caravan and glamping park only.
The proposed glamping site would see the installation of six pods, a toilet unit and waste refuse disposal area for residents.
The proposed caravan park will consist of 16 berthing hard standing pitches for caravan or motorhomes for short term stays.
There will also be capacity to park 88 bikes and an outdoor play area.
