The Tullamore Golf Club womens' team showcased exceptional talent and determination as they emerged victorious in the AIG Women’s Leinster Central Senior Foursomes at the prestigious Mount Juliet Estate.
This remarkable win marks a significant milestone for the club, reflecting their hard work and commitment. The championship course at Mount Juliet, set against the backdrop of Ireland's stunning countryside, provided the perfect stage for a thrilling day of golf.
The event kicked off early at 9:00 AM as Tullamore faced off against The Royal Curragh Golf Club. With spectators eagerly supporting their teams, Tullamore secured a decisive win, finishing with a score of 2.5 to 0.5. Later in the day, Tullamore advanced to the final against Rosslare, scheduled for 14:30. The atmosphere was electric, with a strong showing of support from fans.
The final was a display of top-notch golf, characterised by back-and-forth play that kept everyone on the edge of their seats. Under the bright afternoon sun, Tullamore proved their mettle once again, finishing strong with another 2.5 to 0.5 win against Rosslare. All matches were played with sportsmanship and professionalism, embodying the spirit of the game. A heartfelt thank you goes out to Mount Juliet for their hospitality, as well as the referees and Golf Ireland officials who ensured the event ran smoothly.
