Offaly Election Update: Sinn Fein's Aoife Masterson the big winner in third count in Offaly General Election
The third count in the General Election in Offaly, the distribution of Boylan, Hackett and Taylor's votes, has been completed and Sinn Fein's Aoife Masterson was the big winner.
Of the transfers on offer, she picked up 593 votes to move her past Tony McCormack into third place as it stands. Importantly, she also closed the gap on John Clendennen to less than 100 votes.
Carol Nolan cemented her lead at the top of the leaderboard and is now just 797 short of a quote.
Tony McCormack is in fourth as it stands but should be elected given the fact that Claire Murray and Eddie Fitzpatrick should transfer well to him.
The fourth count will see the elimination of Fergus McDonnell and transferring of his votes.
