Much-delayed 2018 Offaly minor camogie final to be played this weekend
St.Rynaghs and Lusmagh/Drumcullen will contest the much-delayed Hynes School of Motoring minor final this Sunday, March 3 at 2pm at St. Brendan's Park in Birr.
During the replay of the minor semi-final last weekend, St.Rynaghs' Kate Kenny was again the key player as the camogie player of the year scored 1-7 from placed balls and from frees.
The game has been delayed owing to St. Rynagh's prolonged involvement in All-Ireland competition.
Along with Kenny, Louise Mannion and a number of other players have been involved in their senior side's campaign to win an Offaly and Leinster title this year.
Lusmagh/Drumcullen have waited a long spell to play the final having played their semi-final back on November 10 where they defeated Tullamore on a scoreline of 6-13 to 3-7. Key players for Lusmagh/Drumcullen are Amy Byrne, current minor captain and Kaitlyn Kennedy.
The venue for the final has now been confirmed as St.Brendan's Park and throw-in is slated for 2pm on Sunday, March 3.
