Offaly Camogie Notes (June 18)

Cayla Fletcher (Kilcormac/Killoughey) and Roisin Pinches (St.Cillians) represented Offaly at the feile skills competition in Portlaoise last weekend

Senior Championship

Offaly face Meath once again in the second round of the Liberty Insurance Senior All-Ireland camogie championship this Saturday in St. Brendan's Park Birr at 5pm. On the back of their opening round loss to Dublin, Offaly will need to register a win and with a favourable scoreline to avoid a score difference knockout like last year. Tipperary sit on top of Group 2, having defeated Meath on a scoreline of 6-14 to 0-9 two weekends ago. Offaly will be hoping they can right the wrongs of their Dublin performance to put them in a good position facing into round three against Wexford in July. Offaly have already played Meath this year in the little woods Ireland national league relation final where Offaly ran away comfortable winners 3-17 to Meath’s 1-7.
