Rashina N.S 9-10

Tullamore E.T.N.S 2-1

Tullamore Educate Together National School, in just their second year of Cumann na mBunscoil, got the first score of this game through a close range free but last year's winners Rashina soon got to grips with the game.

Oisín Corcoran was an imposing figure in their forward line and he grabbed an early point from play. Chelsea Corcoran Conroy blazed wide before a Luke Fitzgerald free put Rashina ahead. Oisin Corcoran followed suite with another free after eight minutes.

Rashina were winning loads of ball in the middle thanks to the likes of Chelsea Corcoran Conroy, while Calum Corcoran was proving very hot to handle with the ball in hand. He played a delightful pass to Oisin Corcoran after 11 minutes and the sharpshooter made no mistake in firing to the net.

He then hit the post before grabbing another goal moments later thanks to a pinpoint pass from Molly Wheeler. Calum Corcoran also nabbed three first half points including a brilliant effort from play on the 16-minute mark. Rashina led 2-6 to 0-1 at half-time.

Calum continued his fine form early in the second half as he bagged a brilliant goal after a weaving solo run. Another point from Oisin Corcoran seemed to finish Tullamore but to their credit they showed a fierce fight back in the second half.

Half-time substitute Karolina Kuzmenko started the comeback charge with a fine goal, while Khalid Abdelkarim also netted for the town team before the end. However, Rashina continued their march to victory and Oisin Corcoran fired four more second half goals. Luke Fitzgerald also got in on the act, scoring 1-2 in the second period.

A long lofted free from Chelsea Corcoran Conroy also found its way to the net before the referee sounded the final whistle with Rashina winning out on a 9-10 to 2-1 scoreline.
