Offaly name team for U17 Celtic Challenge clash with Dublin

Offaly's Celtic Challenge U17 hurling backroom team of Paddy Guinan, Pat Temple, Declan Loughnane, Michael Cleary, Conor Clancy and Lynne Hutchinson, have named their team to face Dublin Plunkett this evening.

Offaly are fresh from their opening day win over Laois last week and will be in buoyant mood heading to Birr for their 7.30pm throw-in.

Last week's game was a dour affair in difficult conditions but the weather should be more favourable this evening with ground conditions also better after a spell of dry weather.

Dan Gleeson starts in goal for Offaly while the likes of Peter Cleary, last week's man of the match, and Luke Wyer, maintain their places in team.

The Celtic Challenge sees 41 teams from all 32 counties taking part using squads of 16 and 17 year olds who are not sitting their Leaving Certificate this year.
