Offaly's 1998 All-Ireland winners to reunite ahead of this weekend's Galway clash

The Offaly GAA supporter's club, Club Faithful, are gathering the All-Ireland winning heroes of 1998 for a special 20th anniversary reunion event prior to this weekend's Leinster Hurling Championship clash of Galway and Offaly at Bord na Mona O'Connor Park.

The event itself will welcome back the entire hurling squad of that summer, a team that came through an infamous sit-down protest and stood up to claim the title.

It will take place at 4pm on the May 12 in the GAA centre opposite Bórd na Mona O’Connor Park in Tullamore before Offaly take on the current All-Ireland champions in this year's championship.

1998 legend and current Sunday Game pundit Michael Duignan will be the MC on the day, and will interview past Offaly and Galway players.

Refreshments and hot food will be served and a raffle will take place in which you could win two tickets to your choice of either the All Ireland Hurling or Football Final.

Entry is only €10 for what promises to be a great event of fun and nostalgia.
