Tullamore to host All-Ireland club semi-final this weekend

Bord na Móna O'Connor Park in Tullamore will be the backdrop this weekend as Kildare and Leinster champions Moorefield face their Connacht counterparts, Galway's Corofin in the AIB All-Ireland Senior Club Football Championship semi-final.

The game throws in at 2pm on Saturday afternoon where Corofin will be favourites, despite Moorefield's heroic, and at time unbelievable, run through Leinster.

Moorefield were reduced to 13 men in their county final showdown with Celbridge and managed to prevail, while they were six points behind with six minutes to play against St. Loman's of Mullingar in the Leinster decider, only to produce a tally of 1-4 at the death to claim the title.

Corofin have had a different run to this stage, having won their county final decider with Mountbellew/Moylough by ten points, and beating Castlebar Mitchells by four in the Connacht showpiece.

Nemo Rangers meet Slaughtneil in the second All-Ireland Club semi-final on February 24 at O'Moore Park.
