AGM

The Annual General Meeting was held in the club room on Friday, January 19, and it elected the following Officers for 2018:

President - Patsy Guinan

Chairman - Diarmuid Daly

Vice Chairman - Vincent Minnock

Secretary - Anne Creevy

Asst. Sec - Conor Connelly, Eamonn Larkin

Treasurer - Kathryn Quinn

Asst. Treasurer - Daniel Boland

Planning Officer - Conor Connelly

School Liaison - Kenneth Daly

Coaching Officer - Dermot Egan

The Chairman Diarmuid Daly in his address thanked players and coaches for their commitment during the year. He also praised the members of the Club Committee and expressed his thanks to the Lotto Committee, all Club supporters, local businesses and Club Sponsors Sean and Dora Corcoran for financial support. The Chairman appealed for more members to attend coaching courses and help with underage teams. He had special thanks for the Principal and staff of Boher National School and especially teacher Ton Naughton for their help in the promotion of our games.

The Secretary Anne Creevy gave details of all Club activity and Treasurer Kathryn Quinn revealed that the Club debt had been reduced but warned that fund raising is vital for the survival of the Club.

History

Ballycumber GAA History Group are researching the many people from this area who fought in World War 1. They would welcome any assistance, especially names of solders who returned from the war.

GAA National Club Draw 2018

The closing date for purchase of tickets is fast approaching. The prizes on offer include an Renault Dynamique, All Ireland Final packages including match tickets, overnight accommodation in the Croke Park Hotel with dinner for two and numerous shopping vouchers. All proceeds from ticket sales remain the property of the Club. Your support is much appreciated.

Best wishes to both Offaly teams as they start out in the league campaign this weekend.

The numbers drawn this week were 9,18,25,28. No jackpot winner. One match three winner.  Next week's draw will be held in Stewarts on Monday night for a jackpot of €5,800.
