Rod Og Minor Club Awards Night

Rhode Minor club underage awards night for all Our Underage Teams will take place on Friday, November 24 at 7pm in Rhode GAA Hall. It promises to be a great a great evening to celebrate all their hard work during the year and also the wonderful achievements of both the Boys and Girls Parish School teams winning their respective Cumann na mBunscol Championships. Members of the Rhode Senior Team along with the Dowling & Casey Cups will be present on the night. 

Tea, Coffee and refreshments will be served. 

It promises to be a wonderful evening so we hope you can make it on the night. 

Rhode U10s 

Rhode U10s travelled to Clane to take part in the O'Shea Family Memorial Football Tournament on Saturday where they reached the shield final beating Dublin clubs Thomas Davis and Sylvester's along the way. In what was a thriller of a game with both teams giving an excellent footballing display, unfortunately it was not to be but the boys did the club very proud. Final Score read Naas 3-11 Rhode 3-05. 

Rhode U10 team and management would like to thank the O'Shea family, Clane GAA and in particular Paul Dunne for organising an excellent event. 

A massive thank you to the management team of Stephen Glennon, Brendan Glennon and Mick Fleming for their great work.

129th AGM

The 129th AGM of Rhode GAA Club will take place Friday the 1st of December in Rhode GAA Hall at 8pm Sharp. All Members and Intending Members are requested to attend. All Motions and Nominations must be submitted in writing (email if possible) and will be accepted up to and including Tuesday 21st November 2017.

The AGM is an important part of the Clubs calendar where all aspects of the clubs activities for 2017 will be up for discussion. All attending the meeting will be requested to sign on arrival with club registrar Ger Noonan and membership for 2018 will be taken on the night and we would request members to do so.

Welcome Home 

A massive welcome home to Joe "Smokie" Glennon who has returned to Ballyheashill and has and will continue to make a great recovery. 

Sympathy 

Deepest Sympathy to the Family of Carmel Malone Tyrellspass  and formerly of Tubberdaly. Carmel will be sadly missed by all who knew her especially Carmels husband Greg, Sister Theresa , Brothers Joe and Ned and extended family. The deceased was proprietor of the popular Acorn Restaurant in Tullamore.

Carmel's funeral service took place on Thursday afternoon last at St.Camillus nursing home Killucan followed by cremation in Newlands Cross Crematorium. 

May Carmel Rest In Peace.
