Potentially two derbies for Offaly in 2017 Leinster Senior Championships

The draw for the 2017 Leinster Senior Football and Leinster Senior Hurling Championships has thrown up two potential derbies for Offaly.

In the Football Championship, Offaly have been drawn against neighbours Westmeath while in the Hurling Championship, Offaly will play one of the two sides to emerge from the Round Robin section. Westmeath and Laois are two of the four teams and both would be tipped to emerge to the quarter-finals.

The winner of that Leinster Senior Hurling quarter-final will face the winner of the game between Galway and Dublin with Kilkenny on the other side of the draw.

In the Football Championship, Offaly open against Westmeath with the winner of that game facing either Carlow, Wexford or Dublin.
