No changes for Offaly for Westmeath showdown

THE Offaly team to face Westmeath on the final group game of the O’Byrne Cup this Sunday has been announced.

THE Offaly team to face Westmeath on the final group game of the O’Byrne Cup this Sunday has been announced.

Manager Emmett McDonnell has named the same starting 15 which was listed to place AIT on Wednesday.

Meanwhile Westmeath have named a strong team with both Dessie Dolan and Denis Glennon among those recalled to the starting 15 following the midweek defeat to Laois.

Offaly go into the final round on top of the group and a draw or better would be enough to see them claim top spot. Should Offaly lose and Laoi defeat AIT, the three midland counties will be level on points and score difference will decide who tops the group.
