Rhode through to quarter-finals as groups take shape in Offaly Senior Football Championship

RHODE are the first team through to the last eight of the Tullamore Court Hotel Offaly Senior Football Championship after they comfortable win over Tubber last Thursday.

RHODE are the first team through to the last eight of the Tullamore Court Hotel Offaly Senior Football Championship after they comfortable win over Tubber last Thursday.

Rhode are in the five team Group 2 and are guarnateed a spot in the quarter-finals with two wins from two games.

Defending champions Edenderry took a major step towards the last eight with their win over Ferbane by 0-11 to 1-6 and they should now make the quarter finals barring a freak series of results.

In Group 1 last year’s beaten finalists Clara were held to a draw by Erin Rovers and both teams now top the pile with three points each.

Ballycumber and Gracefield both got off the mark with wins over Walsh Island and St Rynagh’s leaving themselves and Walsh Island on two points apiece with St Rynagh’s yet to get off the mark.
