Leinster Poc Fada titles for two Offaly competitors
The Offaly duo will now challenge for national honours
OFFALY representatives had a productive day at the Leinster Poc Fada finals on the scenic Nine Stones Mount Leinster course on Saturday.
A hugely successful exponent of the long puck competition, Cillian Kiely captured his fourth Leinster title in the senior mens' event.
The Kilcormac-Killoughey and Offaly hurler has a huge long puck and it was his fourth time to win the Leinster event. He has won two national senior and two national U16 titles.
There was a great win for Siofra Ginty in the Leinster U16 camogie event. A member of St Cillian's Camogie Club, Ginty did very well to out-distance her competitors.
Kilcormnac-Killoughey's Jane Lowry and Clara's Tadgh McGrath were the Offaly representatives in the senior camogie and U16 boys events.
Cillian Kiely and Siofra Ginty will now compete in the national finals on the Cooley Mountains, Louth in August.
