Offaly GAA fans enjoyed another spectacular day in Croke Park on Sunday as the county's senior footballers claimed the Division 3 league title with an impressive win over Kildare.
The win sparked scenes of joy in HQ and back home in front on TVs in Offaly, with some glass-half-full fans even joking that Offaly needs to be split such has been the success in recent years.
On top of the Division 3 football title on Sunday, Offaly have won the following accolades in the last five years: All-Ireland U20 Football, All-Ireland U20 Hurling, 2 x Leinster U20 Hurling, Leinster U20 Football, Leinster Minor Hurling, Joe McDonagh Cup, Christy Ring and 2 x Division Two Hurling Leagues.

This roll of honour was pointed out by Offaly journalist Will O'Callaghan on X on Sunday evening, prompting one Offaly supporters to joke, "split Offaly in four."
During the years of Dublin football success, there were often calls to split the capital in half in GAA terms, but that may not be enough to stop the Faithful tide!
Another GAA fan praised Offaly on X, describing it as "a great GAA county, unlike others who sit around whinging about their lot, Offaly decided to pick themselves up. Hopefully it translates into tangible success at senior in the next few years."
Another said: "You reap what you sow and getting it right at the top level was the start of it all."
Offaly played some impressive football as they ran out 2-17 to 1-18 winners over Kildare on Sunday. Jack Bryant and Cormac Egan were the goalscorers while Clonbullogue's Keith O'Neill was named man of the match after a marvellous shooting display.
Captain Lee Pearson spoke well from the steps of the Hogan Stand as he collected the Division 3 trophy, thanking among others, co-managers "Declan Kelly and his apprentice Mickey Harte."
