Offaly man elected Leinster GAA PRO

AN Offaly man was elected as the Public Relations Officer of Leinster GAA at their Convention last Saturday evening.

Shamrocks club man, Brendan Minnock will serve a three year term. He is a former PRO of the Offaly GAA County Board, filling that position in two different stints and is currently their Planning and Training Officer. He was a member of the GAA's National Communications Committee from 2018 to 2020 inclusive.

Minnock replaces Kilbeggan man, Pat Lynagh and has had a long involvement in the GAA. He is a former secretary of Shamrocks GAA Club.

Convention also saw the end of Pat Teehan's term as chairman with Wexford's Derek Kent taking over. The Coolderry man is running for president of the GAA at national Congress on February 18 against favourite Jarlath Burns (Armagh) and Donegal's Niall Erskine.
