Huge queue forms outside Edenderry off-licence

Earlier in the week, the rush for bread was reaching riot stage in many areas, but the people of Edenderry have now got their priorities in order this Friday evening. 

Most shops in the town have been closed today with local shops opening intermittently between snowfalls and power cuts. 

On Friday evening, one resident took this brilliant picture as a queue formed outside the local Carry Out which opened for people to get their Friday night provisions.

The term 'hiking for cans' as been trending on social media today and these thirsty folk have well and truly earned their Friday night beverage.
