Edenderry GAA club are hoping to use the current snowfall to their advantage despite all of their pitches being under two foot of snow.
"Lots of snow drifts at Edenderry GAA, no action here for a while, they posted on social media on Friday morning.
However, while one school in Tullamore issued homework to their students during the snow, Edenderry GAA showed that every day is a school day for the young footballers of Edenderry.
They wrote: "NOTE to all our young players; make sure you use both right and left when kicking snow and throwing snowballs."
Practical advice indeed. Those Edenderry boys will have calf muscles like Tour De France cyclists come championship time if their kicking much of this snow!
