WATCH: Shane Lowry laughing at his caddie's attempted rescue shot is pure gold

Shane Lowry is preparing to play in a select field of 24 this week at the QBE Shootout in Florida, and has been practicing with his caddie, Dermot Byrne.

VIDEO: Shane Lowry's caddie Dermot Byrne attempts a perilous rescue shot...

As the pair, who are friends off the course as well as on it, were making their way round, Dermot clearly got into some trouble, finding himself out of position beside a hedge and railing.

From the safety of his golf caddy, Lowry decided to record Dermot's attempt to recover from the wayward spot. Dermot tries hard to keep a straight face, but Shane finds it very funny, and his laugh is infectious as you watch the video above.

Perhaps Dermot was distracted as he made a hapless attempt at a swing - at least that's what he'll claim back in the clubhouse. The ball stayed put as far as we can see!

Shane tees off in the QBE Shootout alongside Graeme McDowell on Wednesday as a small field of 24 players from the PGA Tour play off for a prize pot of around $3 million.
