McDonald’s Restaurants of Ireland today officially launched two exciting new customer developments – the introduction of Table Service and the Signature Collection of premium beef burgers.

Table Service is an alternative way for customers to place their food order at McDonald’s.  Instead of approaching the counter, customers can now opt to use a self-service kiosk to make their selection, pay by card and then take a seat and relax while their food is cooked to order and delivered to their table by a McDonald’s crew member.  Table Service takes the hassle out of ordering for both busy parents who are juggling kids and shopping bags, and groups of friends who just can’t wait to catch up on each other’s news.

All of McDonald’s burgers are made with 100% Irish beef and new to the menu this month is the premium range Signature Collection by McDonald’s.  A thicker cut burger, served in a delicious brioche bun, it’s available in three tempting flavours - Classic, Spicy or BBQ.  The Classic is topped with Beechwood smoked bacon, cheddar cheese, red onion, crisp lettuce, wholegrain mustard mayo and ketchup, while the BBQ boasts Beechwood smoked bacon, cheddar cheese, red onion, crisp lettuce, coleslaw and smoky BBQ sauce.  For those who like a little heat, the Spicy has pepper jack cheese, crisp lettuce, cool mayo, jalapeño slicesand spicy relish.

McDonald’s uses whole cuts of 100% Irish beef, sourced through the Dawn Meats network of accredited farms across Ireland which guarantees a closed loop supply of quality assured beef.  McDonald’s is the single largest purchaser of Irish beef by volume, purchasing approximately 40,000 tonnes of Quality Assured Irish beef annually.

Like the hugely popular McMór burger, which appeared for a limited time only in 2015 and 2016, The Signature Collection by McDonald’s was created by the company’s team of food specialists and its prestigious Chefs’ Council, harnessing a wide range of experience from Michelin-starred restaurants to the company’s own supplier network.  The Signature Collection by McDonald’s is a permanent addition to the menu and will initially be available at the 12 restaurants at which customers can also enjoy Table Service before these developments are rolled-out through the entire network of 90 McDonald’s restaurants around Ireland in the next 12-18 months.

Commenting on the announcement, McDonald’s Director of Operations, Jimmy Edwards, said: “We have invested heavily in recent years to give our customers a great experience in terms of both delicious food and a relaxed atmosphere.  The introduction of both Table Service and The Signature Collection is a very exciting development and we are very much looking forward to extending these innovations across our network of 90 restaurants around Ireland in the coming years.”

Table Service and The Signature Collection by McDonald’s are now available in the following 12 restaurants:

Dublin: The Square, Belgard Road, Dublin Airport T1, Donaghmede, Carrickmines, and Lucan Drive-Thru.

Kilkenny: Kilkenny Drive-Thru.

Kildare: Naas Drive-Thru.

Louth: Dundalk.

Cork: Douglas, Ballincollig and Musgrave Park.

The Signature Collection by McDonald’s is also available in O’Connell Street, Dublin, East Wall Road and Dublin Airport Drive-Thru.

McDonald’s now employs over 5,000 people across 90 restaurants in Ireland.  Both Table Service and The Signature Collection will be rolled-out across the network of restaurants over the next 12-18 months.
