Thanks to recent VRT changes, Ford’s stylish Fiesta Van and Kuga Commercial top the list of the best value available in the Irish commercial vehicle sector. With prices starting from just €13,650* for Fiesta Van and €25,150* for Kuga Commercial, van operators can now opt for two of the best looking commercial vehicles on the road at great value prices.

“Our Fiesta Van has been a favourite in Ireland for decades and the recent arrival of the Kuga Commercial has brought a new stylish appeal to customers who needed a larger load area but who didn’t want to compromise on style”, says Pat Brazil, Ford Ireland Commercial Vehicle Sales and Marketing Manager. “The great value on these two models is available up until May this year, when the VRT rate increases to €200, so customers are advised to act quickly if they want to capitalise on these great low prices”.

Based on the award winning Fiesta car, the Fiesta Van has a compact exterior footprint, practical load compartment area and now even lower cost of ownership. The Fiesta Van is the ideal choice for urban express delivery, service fleets and artisans thanks to its combination of van practicality and car-like styling and usability.

Engines available include the 1.25-litre Duratec 16V petrol unit (82 PS/60 kW), a frugal 1.4-litre Duratorq TDCi turbo diesel (70PS/50 kW), and a top-of the-range 1.6-litre Duratorq TDCi (90 PS/66kW) turbo diesel.

The Kuga Commercial is powered by the engaging 2.0 TDCi Duratorq 140PS powertrain and boasts a spacious load capacity which belies its sharp, slick exterior. The Kuga Commercial has an intelligent all wheel drive transmission which really came into its own during the recent wintry spell of weather with many customers praising its ability in the snow and icy conditions.

In 2010, the Fiesta Van won the title of Continental Irish Car Derived Van of the Year, while the Kuga Commercial was named Continental Irish Commercial / SUV of the Year.
