OVER a dozen learners from Offaly and Laois gathered in the Citywest Hotel in Dublin on Thursday, December 8 to be awarded with their City & Guilds certificates in Health & Social Care.
Amongst the graduates were Rose Conroy (Geashill) and Carol Kilroe (Killurin), who were extremely happy to have graduated with their City & Guilds certificates.
Irish Healthcare Training Institute is based in Monaghan with a core philosophy to provide excellent training and skills for all learners in a relaxed informative environment where tutors support and offer advice to all learners.
Speaking at the presentation ceremony Sally Murtagh, Managing Director said, “We’re delighted for Irish Healthcare Training to be at the cutting edge of vocational education in Health & Social Care in Ireland. Candidates graduating today have taken their first steps in their Health & Social Care careers with qualifications that allow for progression from carers through to senior management level.”
Irish Healthcare Training were approved as a City & Guilds centre last year and this is the first cohort of students that have achieved the National Vocational Qualification (NVQ) in Health and Social Care in Ireland.
