Its great news about Kate the Duchess of Cornwall’s pregnancy, however it is widely reported that she is suffering from Nausea gravidarum or morning sickness.
By Cara Cunningham, Community Dietitian
Safefood has given handy advice on the best way to alleviate morning sickness was to:
* Have dry starchy foods such as dry crackers, toast, and cereal, regularly to relieve nausea
* Have small frequent meals and snacks throughout the day, if you are getting sick try to eat as soon as tolerated after vomiting
* Avoid the smells of cooking that make your sickness worse
* If possible keep taking your folic acid supplement for at least the first 12 weeks of your pregnancy
Most people will find morning sickness will wear off by the fourth month, but hopefully by taking some of these steps it will help you feel a little bit better.
