Peugeot has released details and pictures of the 2013 RCZ sports coupe, confirming new front end styling and increased specifications.
At first glance the new model, which was previewed at this year’s Paris Motor Show, looks similar to the outgoing version. However, a host of tweaks has brought its face into line with Peugeot’s latest family styling, also serving to differentiate cars with the new, higher spec.
The same two trim levels continue, with the entry-level Sport now adding automatic lighting. ‘Approach’ and ‘follow-me-home’ functions are integrated, providing light before getting in and after getting out of the car.
Sport models also now have the option of half-leather or leather/Alcantara seats; upgrades that were previously unavailable.
The higher GT specification, apparently chosen by 80% of RCZ buyers, brings with it new 19-inch alloy wheels, a new sports style steering wheel and gear level combination. Leather seats are still standard, but a new option at this level is the addition of matt black roof arches.
The range of optional body decals and alloy wheel designs has been increased to give consumers more control over the final look and feel of the car.
In late 2013 a 260bhp RCZ R will join the range as a performance flagship. It will be even more aggressively styled and aimed at drivers looking to combine stunning looks with compelling performance.
Prices for the 2013 range will start from £21,595 for the RCZ Sport, rising to £23,995 for the GT. Deliveries will start from the second week of January.
