FLASHBACK - Memories from last year's Ploughing Championships in Offaly

Look back on memories from last year’s National Ploughing Championship in Screggan

Screggan, outside Tullamore, is once again the social and farming epicentre of Ireland with the return of the National Ploughing Championships to Offaly, running from Tuesday, September 15 to Thursday, September 17.

More than 250,000 people are expected in the county over the three days to take in all the Ploughing has to offer; from trade stalls, entertainment, food, drink and interactive experiences.

Ireland’s biggest brands have stalls in what is effectively a mini city in Screggan, while President Catherine Connolly is on hand to launch the event for the first time, just days after welcoming US President Donald Trump to Áras an Uachtaráin.

Met Éireann says the week could be largely dry. They said in their latest forecast: “Current indications show showers and sunny spells on Tuesday with a drier day on Wednesday.”

To whet your appetite we've put together a selection of pics from the Ploughing in 2025 at the same Screggan venue it returns to this year.
